Franklin Pierce Drops Road Contest at Saint Michael’s

COLCHESTER, Vt. (12/15/25) - In an NE10 conference matchup against the Saint Michael's Purple Knights, Raymond Baka (Atlanta, Ga.) recorded a double-double, leading the Ravens with 14 rebounds and 28 points. Despite the strong showing from Baka, the Ravens fell to the Purple Knights, 78-90.

Records: Franklin Pierce (3-6, 0-3 NE10), Saint Michael's (5-4, 1-1 NE10)

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • The Purple Knights capitalized on early turnovers and hit multiple three-pointers to build momentum in the opening minutes. Despite baskets from Raymond Baka (Atlanta, Ga.) and Dylan Goodman (Long Island, N.Y.), Saint Michael's steadily extended its lead behind strong perimeter shooting and second-chance points, taking a 53–42 advantage into halftime.
  • Franklin Pierce responded early in the second half, sparked by a fast-break dunk from Baka and a Goodman three off a turnover. After Saint Michael's briefly pushed the lead back to double digits, the Ravens mounted their best stretch midway through the half. Transition finishes by Anthony Parker (Middletown, Conn.) and interior scoring from Baka cut the deficit to five, and Parker's three with 8:33 remaining pulled Franklin Pierce within two.
  • Saint Michael's answered immediately with a three-pointer and used timely free throws and turnovers down the stretch to regain control. The Ravens continued to battle but were unable to close the gap late.

BREAKING DOWN THE NUMBERS

  • The Ravens shot 42.6 percent from the field and 38.1 percent from beyond the arc.
  • Parker and Goodman combined for 32 points.

NEXT UP FOR THE RAVENS: The Ravens will return to The Fieldhouse on Sunday, December 21st, for a 1:00 PM tip-off against Mercy.
