HOW IT HAPPENED
- Assumption set the tone from the opening tip, scoring the first 11 points of the afternoon and forcing an early Franklin Pierce timeout. The Greyhounds caught fire from deep immediately, knocking down four threes in the first five minutes and using a combination of transition offense and second-chance opportunities to build a double-digit lead.
- Franklin Pierce settled in as the half progressed, with Raymond Baka and Jaylen Wills providing key early baskets to slow the momentum. Viktar Kachalouski later entered and gave the Ravens an offensive lift off the bench, hitting a pair of threes and adding energy on both ends. However, Assumption continued its efficient shooting, finishing the first half at 62.2 percent from the floor and 8-for-12 from beyond the arc to take a 64–32 advantage into halftime.
- Out of the break, the Ravens generated stretches of strong play—Baka scoring in the paint, Anthony Parker attacking the rim, and the bench unit supplying points—but the Greyhounds maintained control with continued accuracy from long range and a balanced scoring effort across their rotation. Assumption's defensive pressure also fueled its transition game, helping them keep the margin intact as they closed out the contest.
BREAKING DOWN THE NUMBERS
- Raymond Baka led the Ravens with 16 points and 7 rebounds, finishing 7-for-14 from the field.
- Franklin Pierce finished with 38 bench points and forced 15 turnovers.
UP NEXT FOR THE RAVENS: The Ravens return home for the first time this season on Tuesday, hosting Saint Anselm in non-conference action. Tip-off is set for 5 p.m. inside the Fieldhouse.
