(10/5/25) - The Franklin Pierce University women's soccer team capped off a special Senior Day celebration with a 2-0 victory over Assumption University on Sunday afternoon at Sodexo Field. Prior to kickoff, the Ravens honored 13 graduate and senior student-athletes: Sunaina Chaigneau, Makenzie Shean, Samantha Breton, Taylor Maher, Ruby Conroy, Daria Horman, Lindsey Price, Jenna Delgado, Mollie Cahalane, Pinja Eklund, Claudia Peirce, Grace Martin, and Olivia Crespo.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Assumption applied early pressure with three shots in the opening minutes, but the Ravens quickly found their rhythm, responding with nine consecutive shots before finally breaking through on the scoreboard.
- In the 34th minute, Maddie Fitzgerald (Whitman, Mass.) fired a strike from the top of the box that rattled off the crossbar. Flavia Taveri (Rome, Italy) tracked down the rebound and headed it into the back of the net to give the Ravens a 1-0 lead.
- Franklin Pierce doubled its advantage in the 60th minute. Jenni Huttunen (Tuusula, Finland) played a sharp pass to Makenzie Shean (Agawam, Mass.), who volleyed the ball across the box for Claudia Peirce (Carver, Mass.) to slot home from close range, extending the lead to 2-0.
- The Ravens continued to generate chances throughout the second half but held strong defensively to preserve the clean sheet.
