HOW IT HAPPENED

  • The Ravens struggled in doubles play, securing only one win. The duo of Roman Gonzalez (Barcelona, Spain) and Mathias Bonnefond (Chateauroux, France) delivered the team's lone doubles victory with a score of 7-5.
  • In singles competition, the Ravens added two points to their overall score, courtesy of Martin Dominguez (Vigo, Spain) and Gonzalez, who both earned hard-fought wins.
  • Dominguez dropped the first set to Rafael Cueto but bounced back in the second to force a decisive third. Locked at 6-6, the match entered a tense tiebreaker, where Dominguez emerged victorious to claim a crucial point for the team.
  • Gonzalez also rallied after losing his first set. He dominated the third with a commanding 6-1 finish to notch another singles win for the Ravens.
  • Daniel Garcia (Ameria, Spain) and Ibai Lopez (Zaragoza, Spain) both pushed their opponents but ultimately came up short. Garcia battled to win a tiebreaker in the second set but couldn't carry the momentum into the third, falling 2-6 to Albert Soukup. Lopez, in a similar fashion, captured the second set to force a third. His match came down to a close tiebreak, where he narrowly lost 8-10.

UP NEXT FOR THE RAVENS: The Ravens will compete again on Wednesday as they face off against the Purple Knights at Saint Michael's College on Wednesday, October 8th.
