HOW IT HAPPENED

  • In the first period, the Ravens were able to hold off the Catamounts despite the 11 shots on goal and two power plays. Rylee Eno (Uxbridge, Ontario) held firm in goal, and many Ravens were able to record blocks to keep the score tied at 0-0.
  • The Catamounts eventually struck in the second period. Oona Havana would find a hole in the defense and go on a breakaway, putting one past Eno.
  • Less than two minutes later, Lauren O'Hara would bring the puck in front of the goal, finding Josie Hemp with the open shot, extending their lead to 2-0.
  • In the third period, the Ravens would continue to fight off shots from the catamounts. Brynn Levinson (Glencoe, Ill.) would have the lone shot on goal in the third for the Ravens who were unable to produce offense all night. With an empty net goal by Stella Retrum in the final minutes, the Ravens would lose game 1 against UVM, 0-3.
