Women’s Tennis Falls to Southern New Hampshire 3-4

Hooksett, N.H. (10/18/2025) - Franklin Pierce Women's Tennis picked up three points in their match against SNHU, but could not complete the fourth. The Ravens were led by Ines Gabarro and Sara Gonzalez, who won their respective doubles matches, as well as their singles matches.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Ines Gabarro and Candela Tortosa played the second doubles match, battling for their win. They ultimately topped the Penmen, winning 6-4.
  • Ana Munoz and Sara Gonzalez secured the doubles point for the Ravens, finishing their match 6-2 over Southern New Hampshire.
  • Gabarro proved consistent for the Ravens, picking up the first singles point in match one. She won the first set 6-2, though battled with Lois Tsui in the second. The two sent the set into extra points, with Tsui ultimately taking the 7-5 win, forcing a third set. Gabarro finished off the point, winning the third set 6-3, to put the Ravens up 2-0.
  • Gonzalez followed suit with her second win of the day, taking her match in two sets. She won the first set 6-2, and the second was won 7-5 after Dajana Abaszic sent the set into extra points. This set gave the Ravens the early 3-0 lead. 
  • Following Gonzalez's match, the Ravens could not find another win, despite Tortosa's effort in her singles match, in which all three sets were sent to extra points. 

UP NEXT FOR THE RAVENS: FPU women's tennis will travel to Dudley, Mass. to take on the Bison of Nichols College. The match will take place on Monday, October 20 at 2:00 p.m.
