MANCHESTER, N.H. 10/28/25 — The Franklin Pierce University women's tennis team earned a tight 4–3 win over Saint Anselm on Saturday afternoon. The Ravens were led by
Sara Gonzalez,
Candela Tortosa, and
Ana Munoz, who all picked up victories in both singles and doubles competition.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Franklin Pierce opened strong, capturing the doubles point with wins in two of the three matches.
- Ines Gabarro and Candela Tortosa claimed a 6–3 win at No. 2 doubles.
- Sara Gonzalez and Ana Munoz followed up with a 6–4 victory at No. 3 to secure the opening point for the Ravens.
- Sara Gonzalez continued her dominant stretch with a straight-sets win at No. 2 singles (6–2, 6–2).
- Candela Tortosa was perfect in her match, rolling to a 6–0, 6–0 victory at No. 5 singles.
- Ana Munoz battled from behind, taking a gritty three-set win at No. 6 (4–6, 6–3, 6–4) to clinch the overall match for Franklin Pierce.
- Despite hard-fought efforts, Ines Gabarro, Gabriela Yamate, and Ainhoa Ordonez dropped their singles matches against a strong Saint Anselm lineup.
