Caputo’s Overtime Winner Lifts Ravens to Third Straight Victory

COLCHESTER, VT (10/14/25) – Franklin Pierce extends their win streak to 3 games after another very tight NE10 contest against the Purple Knights of Saint Michaels. A goal from freshman Puck Wanders in the fourth quarter and a game winner in OT from Aria Caputo drags the Ravens over the finish line 2-1 gifting them their 4th win of the season.

Score: Franklin Pierce 2, Saint Michaels 1 (OT)
Records: Franklin Pierce (4-7, 3-4 NE10), Saint Michaels (0-13, 0-7 NE10)
Location: Duffy Field, Saint Michaels College, Colchester, Vermont
Date: Tuesday, October 14, 2025

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The first three quarters of the game where fairly quiet with no goals being scored but fantastic defensive and goalkeeping performances from both teams prevent either team from taking the lead.
  • It wasn't until the 4th quarter that Puck Wanders (Doorn, Netherlands) capitalized off a poor Purple Knight pass, took the ball up the field, beat 2 defenders and rifled the ball in the side netting past Saint Michaels keeper Joelle Cameron opening her goalscoring account for the Ravens.
  • The joy was short lived as just 2 minutes later Ruby Harrington scored from a penalty to level the score.
  • Both teams couldn't find the winner in regulation meaning the game was to be settled in overtime.
  • Just 6 minutes in Olivia O'Brien (Upton, MA) set up Wanders from a corner who reverse shot was tipped by Delaney Condon (Atkinson, N.H.) and found its way to Aria Caputo (Gloucester, MA) who had an empty net to tap the ball in giving the Ravens their second overtime win of the season 2-1.
BY THE NUMBERS
  • Caputo would lead the team with 11 shots.
  • The Ravens would have 8 penalty corners to the Purple Knights 5.
  • 24 shots with 18 on the goal would be recorded by Pierce.
  • Zoe Noorlag (Amersfoort, Netherlands) would make 5 saves.
NEXT UP FOR THE RAVENS: The Ravens return to Sodexo Field as they are set to face the Pace University Setters on Saturday October 18th in what will be their Kidney Disease Awareness Game. Game time is set for 12 PM.
