Women's Lacrosse: Ravens Fall to SNHU for Second Time of 2024 Season, 21-7

HOOKSETT, NH  (4/16/2024) –  The Franklin Pierce women's lacrosse team fell to the Southern New Hampshire University Penmen for the second time in the 2024 season Tuesday afternoon, 21-7.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • The Penmen were all gas offensively after the team outscored the Ravens in all four quarters led by Angelina Graziano who tallied five goals and four assists. Two other Penmen players including former Raven Katelyn Hadden tallied six points off four goals and two assists.
  • Senior midfielder Kayli Hoefs (Amsterdam, NY) led the Ravens for a combined four points off two goals and two assists. Sophomore midfielder Erin McIlroy (Newfields, NH) chipped in two goals and an assist and led the Ravens in draw controls with five.
  • The Ravens held the Penmen to a five point lead at the start of the second half, but SNHU doubled down in third and fourth quarter scoring nine unanswered goals and held the Ravens scoreless through the final 25 minutes of play.
  • SNHU tallied 41 shots in the offensive zone which towered over the 22 shots taken by the Ravens. Peppering the Pierce goalies, Katherine Hickey (Farmingdale, NY) faced 28 shots and tallied 11 saves through the first three quarters. Saige Paradise (Milford, NH) stepped in net for the fourth and made two saves on six shots.
  • The Penmen capitalized on the Ravens' 20 turnovers during Saturday's game while keeping their own turnovers to eight.

NEXT FOR THE RAVENS: The Ravens head to Adelphi on Saturday April 20th to take on the Panthers in a Northeast-10 matchup with opening draw set for 12:00 PM.
