RINDGE, N.H. (11/9/2024) - The Franklin Pierce football team falls to the Bentley Falcons 34-26 in their final home game of the regular season. They honored their 2024 graduating seniors prior to kickoff.

Then, the Ravens came out swinging in the second. Redshirt sophomore quarterback Adrian Parker (Manchester, CT) rifled a 17-yard touchdown pass to sophomore receiver Joziah Gonzalez (Meridan, CT) to put the Ravens on the board. They would not tie the game due to a missed extra-point attempt, making the score 7-6. The Ravens then claimed their first lead of the day off a 25-yard touchdown pass to redshirt sophomore receiver Austyn Howe (Newington, CT). Another missed PAT put the Ravens up 12-7. The Falcons responded just before halftime with a 4-yard touchdown pass to receiver Pat Damon, making it 14-12 in favor of the Falcons at the half.

The Falcons had their biggest quarter in the third, scoring twice off another touchdown pass to Rashon Bradford and then a 10-yard run from running back Vinnie Holmes. The Ravens scored between the Falcons' scoring drives with a 1-yard touchdown from sophomore running back Guerschom Gurrier (Naples, FL). A successful 2-point conversion made the score 27-20 entering the fourth quarter.

The Ravens then put together a stellar scoring drive late in the fourth quarter, capped off by a 4-yard touchdown pass to junior receiver Kameron Massey (East Hartford, CT) to bring them within one. However, the extra point attempt was blocked by the Bentley defense, keeping the score 27-26. The Falcons then marched down the field and sealed the win with another 10-yard touchdown pass to Pat Damon, lifting the Falcons to the 34-26 win.

Brett Pullman won the quarterback battle, completing 24 of 36 passes for 236 yards and 4 touchdowns. Adrian Parker also faired well, completing 22 of 37 passes for 219 yards and 3 touchdowns with 2 interceptions.

The biggest difference was the missed extra points. Ravens senior kicker Nolan Startzell (Scituate, MA) had a rough go, ending the day 0-3 in PAT attempts, including the blocked PAT in the fourth quarter.
UP NEXT FOR THE RAVENS: The Ravens have one more game left in the regular season. They face the Assumption Greyhounds for the second time this season on the road in Worcester, MA next Saturday. Kickoff is set for November 16th at noon at Assumption University.
