The game began with a strong start for Franklin Pierce, as quarterback Adrian Parker (Manchester, Conn.) rushed 17 yards for a touchdown in the second quarter, capping a 10-play, 74-yard drive to give the Ravens a 6-0 lead.

Assumption responded in the third quarter with a 3-yard rushing touchdown by quarterback Jay Kastaintin, followed by a 20-yard field goal by Massimo Sgambati in the fourth, pushing the Greyhounds ahead 10-6 with just over eight minutes remaining.
