Ravens Set Team Record For Consecutive Wins
NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. (September 16,
2000) - Senior Heidi
Nichols (Fremont, N.H.) scored her third goal in two games
as the Franklin Pierce University field hockey team set a team
record for consecutive wins with its third straight, two of which
have come in the NE-10.
The Ravens (3-1, 2-0 NE-10) are now in a three-way tie for first
place in the NE-10 along with Bentley and St. Michael's.
Nichols scored the only goal FP would need 15 minutes into the
second half off a nice pass from Jestina O'Dell (Southboro, Mass.).
Eight minutes later, Chrystean
Page (Turner, Maine) scored her third goal of the year to
put the game away.
Sophomore goalkeeper Kasey
McClements (Ashland, Mass.) made four saves for her second
consecutive shutout. McClements has stopped all but one shot this
season for a .938 save percentage.
FP plays next Tuesday when the Ravens host Southern Connecticut at
the Winchendon School in a 4:00 conference game.
