Katie Coleman

Katie Coleman

Katie Coleman enters her first season as an assistant coach with the Franklin Pierce University women's lacrosse team in 2020.

Rindge is the first collegiate coaching stop for Coleman, though she joins the Ravens with extensive experience coaching at the club level. A health and exercise science major during her undergraduate days at Regis (Colo.), she has worked in both the cardiology and orthopedics fields in addition to coaching, and is certified as a medical assistant.

As a student-athlete (bio), Coleman missed her initial senior season due to injury, but still helped captain Regis to the team's first-ever NCAA Championship appearance in 2017. The redshirt season allowed her to return in 2018, when she was also a captain on the school's first ever NCAA regional championship team. She was an All-Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference First Team selection as a sophomore, a Second Team selection as a junior and an Honorable Mention selection as a senior. In addition, she earned All-Academic First Team honors from the RMAC as a senior and was a two-time selection to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association's Academic Honor Roll.

Originally from Broomfield, Colo., Coleman is a 2017 graduate of Regis. Her father, Bill Coleman, was a four-year letterwinner in football at Colorado University from 1986-89, including the 1989 Big Eight championship team.
