Conor Foley was named the head coach of the Franklin Pierce men's ice hockey program in July 2025.
A 2023 graduate of Franklin Pierce and former team captain, Foley returns to his alma mater after gaining valuable experience as a collegiate coach, professional player, and recruiter at the NCAA Division III level.
Foley comes back to Rindge after serving as assistant coach at SUNY-Fredonia for the 2024–25 season, where he led the team’s power play unit to a dramatic improvement in national rankings—from 83rd to 33rd—while managing the program’s recruiting pipeline. He scouted and brought in players from top junior hockey leagues including the MJHL, NAHL, NCDC, SJHL, KIJHL, and AJHL. Foley also oversaw film analysis and player development, gaining critical experience under one of the most respected coaches in the DIII ranks, Jeff Meredith.
A two-time captain during his playing career at Franklin Pierce, Foley was one of the most decorated players in program history. He was named the 2022–23 Northeast-10 Player of the Year, was a finalist for both the Sid Watson Award and Joe Concannon Award, and was recognized as a finalist for the NE10 Man of the Year Award for his excellence in athletics, academics, and community service. After completing his undergraduate degree in Psychology with a minor in Sports Management and Recreation, Foley went on to play one season at UMass Boston while earning his MBA in May 2024. He also spent time playing professionally in the Federal Prospects Hockey League.
In addition to his coaching and playing career, Foley worked as a graduate assistant for the Raven Sports Network at Franklin Pierce, where he led game-day video production and helped manage broadcast operations. He has also coached at St. Mary’s of Lynn and Townshend Hockey Camp, gaining experience with athletes ranging from youth to high school.
