Taylor Ewen serves as the Assistant Head Coach, Defensive Coordinator, and Linebackers Coach for the Franklin Pierce University football program.
Franklin Pierce marks Ewen’s third collegiate coaching stop. He previously spent three seasons (2015–17) at Division III Husson University in Bangor, Maine, where he guided the defensive line and helped lead the Eagles to back-to-back NCAA Championship appearances in 2016 and 2017. While at Husson, he coached the Eastern Collegiate Football Conference’s Defensive Player of the Year in 2016.
Before his time at Husson, Ewen worked as a graduate assistant at Division II Lindenwood University (2014), where he coached the offensive line. He began his coaching career at his alma mater, Anna Maria College, serving two seasons (2012–13) as a student assistant with the offensive line.
As a player, Ewen was a three-year starter on the offensive line at Anna Maria and earned ECFC Academic All-Conference honors. A native of Derry, N.H., he graduated from Anna Maria in 2014 with degrees in business administration and sport management before earning his master’s degree from Lindenwood in 2016.
