RINDGE, N.H. - Franklin Pierce University took down No. 9-ranked Mercy University, 2-0, in a non-conference Division II women's soccer game on Saturday afternoon at Sodexo Field.
With the win, the Ravens improve to 2-2 on the season.
Franklin Pierce wasted no time getting on the board, scoring in the opening minute of play.

McKenna Maguire from the corner, and Maguire finished the chance to give the Ravens a 1-0 advantage, a score that held through halftime.
The same pair struck again just 30 seconds into the second half. Berenguer sent Maguire down the field with a pass that was misplayed by the Mercy goalkeeper, leaving Maguire with an open net for her second goal of the game and a 2-0 Franklin Pierce lead.
The Ravens controlled play throughout the contest, limiting Mercy to just two shots on goal. Jessica LaCroix played the entire 90 minutes in net for Franklin Pierce, making two saves to secure the shutout victory.
Franklin Pierce returns to action on Wednesday, September 9, for a road game at Post University beginning at 7 p.m.
