RINDGE, N.H. - The Franklin Pierce University field hockey team scored four unanswered goals in the second half to secure a 4-1 victory over D'Youville University on Sunday afternoon.
With the win, the Ravens improve to 2-5 overall.
After trailing 1-0 at halftime, Franklin Pierce took control in the third quarter. Abigail Tarka tied the game at 39:05 off an assist from Jocelyn Valleau before setting up Cecelia Keller for the go ahead goal with just 23 seconds remaining in the quarter.
The Ravens carried their momentum into the fourth quarter as Puck Wanders extended the lead to 3-1 at 49:24, with Tarka recording her second assist of the afternoon. Brynnlea Chaisson added the final goal less than two minutes later to seal the victory.
Tarka led the Ravens with a goal and two assists, while Chaisson recorded a team high six shots. Franklin Pierce finished with 24 shots, including 20 in the second half, and 11 shots on goal.
In net, Zoe Noorlag recorded five saves to earn the victory.
The Ravens return to Northeast-10 Conference action on Wednesday, September 30, when they travel to Bentley University for a 6:00 p.m. matchup.
