GARDEN CITY, N.Y. - Following a lightning delay that pushed back the opening kickoff, the Franklin Pierce University men's soccer team began its 2026 season with a scoreless draw against Post University on Thursday afternoon.
With the draw, Franklin Pierce begins the season at 0-0-1.
The Ravens controlled the attack throughout the contest, outshooting the Eagles 9-2 and holding a 4-1 advantage in corner kicks.
Adolfo Pino, Christian Osuna Nieves and Guillermo Rios each placed a shot on goal for Franklin Pierce, but the Ravens ultimately couldn't break through.
Franklin Pierce goalkeeper Toby Lewis made one save to earn the shutout as the Ravens defense limited Post to just two total shots and one shot on goal.
The Ravens are back in action on Saturday, August 29th, in a road game against Wilmington University (Del.) beginning at 3 p.m.
