RINDGE, N.H. (3/31/26) – The Franklin Pierce University women's lacrosse team fell to Southern Connecticut State, 15-10, in a Northeast 10 matchup on Tuesday afternoon at Sodexo Field. Southern Connecticut jumped out to an early lead, but the Ravens battled throughout the game, tying the contest early in the second quarter before the Owls pulled away late in the third quarter.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Owls opened the scoring with two early goals before Franklin Pierce responded. Olivia Robb (East Longmeadow, Mass.) scored twice in the first quarter to tie the game at 2-2, and Erin McIlroy (Newfields, N.H.) added a goal later in the quarter to keep the Ravens within one at 4-3 after the first period.
- In the second quarter, Courtney Hannes (Tyngsboro, Mass.) scored off a pass from Kelci Waters (Milford, N.H.) to tie the game at 4-4. The teams traded goals throughout the quarter, with Robb completing her hat trick and McIlroy scoring again to keep Franklin Pierce within striking distance. However, Southern Connecticut scored two goals in the final 30 seconds of the half to take a 9-6 lead into halftime.
- The Owls extended their lead in the third quarter, scoring three times while holding the Ravens to just one goal, creating a five-goal advantage heading into the fourth quarter.
- Franklin Pierce continued to fight in the final period, with Alyssa Brodeur (Boscawen, N.H.) scoring twice and Maura Cogavin (Franklin, Mass.) adding a goal, but SCSU answered down the stretch to secure the 15-10 win.
