Ravens Compete Against Eckerd and No. 3 Embry-Riddle During Florida Trip

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (3/29/26) – The Franklin Pierce University women's tennis team traveled to Florida for a pair of matches against Eckerd College and No. 3 Embry-Riddle on Saturday. The Ravens faced tough competition in both matches as part of their spring break trip.

Match One: Eckerd College 6, Franklin Pierce 1
Franklin Pierce opened the trip against Eckerd College, falling by a 6-1 final.

The Ravens' lone point came in singles play, where Gabriela Yamate (Sao Paulo, Brazil) picked up a straight-set victory at No. 4 singles. Several other matches were competitive throughout singles play, with close sets across the lineup.

Eckerd secured the doubles point to take the early lead before singles began.

Match Two – No. 3 Embry-Riddle 7, Franklin Pierce 0
Franklin Pierce then faced No. 3 Embry-Riddle in the second match of the trip, falling by a 7-0 final against one of the top-ranked teams in NCAA Division II.

The Ravens battled throughout the lineup in singles play against nationally ranked competition, gaining valuable experience against one of the strongest programs in Division II.
