Softball Sweeps Conference Series Against Bentley

RINDGE, N.H. (3/21/26) - On day two of the series against Bentley University, the Ravens remain undefeated in conference play, winning game one 9-8, followed by a 3-11 win in six innings.

GAME ONE – Franklin Pierce 9, Bentley 8

The Falcons opened game one with a 2-run homer from Carly Dimento in the first inning, followed by a run scored on a walk in the second.

The game would remain scoreless until the bottom of the fourth, when Camryn Van Valkenburgh (San Dimas, Calif.) singled to left field, followed by Charlit Hartenstein (Massapequa, N.Y.) who also drew in two more runs, taking the lead over the Falcons.

The Ravens would extend the lead in the fifth when Van Valkenburgh sent another run in and Georgia Clough (Barriere, British Columbia) hit an RBI-single to center field.

With an explosive offensive sixth inning from both teams, the Falcons were able to tie the game, before the Ravens were able to score 3 more runs.

Bently attempted to send the game into the bottom of the seventh, scoring two runs to bring the score to 8-9, but they weren't able to complete the comeback, handing the Ravens the win.

GAME TWO – Franklin Pierce 11, Bentley 3

The Ravens took offensive control early in the game. Hartenstein got the scoring going in the first inning, doubling to left field and sending Zoey Galindo (Lakewood, Calif.) across the plate.

In the second inning, Van Valkenburgh had another RBI-single on the day, followed by singles from Bailey Dzivasen (Uxbridge, Mass.) and Galindo. Hartenstein would bring in another run, while Delaney Duford (Concord, N.H.) would put out a sacrifice fly, bringing the score to 6-0.

The Falcons would put up three runs through the fourth and fifth innings, while the Ravens would match it, scoring errors and sacrifice hits.

In the bottom of the sixth, Danica Nielson (Oceanside, Calif.) singled to left field, bringing in Mia Keenan (Fitchburg, Mass.) and Duford, ending the game due to the run-rule, sweeping Bentley in their first conference series.

NEXT UP FOR THE RAVENS: The Ravens travel to the University of Bridgeport on Tuesday for a non-conference doubleheader starting a 2:30 PM.
