RINDGE, N.H. (2/21/26) – The Franklin Pierce University women's basketball team honored its seniors on Saturday afternoon inside The Fieldhouse before taking on Assumption in Northeast 10 play. Despite a strong third-quarter push, the Ravens fell 62–46 to the visiting Greyhounds.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Assumption opened the day with efficient perimeter shooting, hitting three first-quarter threes to build a 21–12 advantage. Franklin Pierce kept pace early with scoring from Laia Llorente (Madrid, Spain) and Emily Mennillo (Orange, Conn.), along with a triple from Liv Murray (Salem, N.H.).
- The Ravens generated defensive momentum to start the second quarter, highlighted by a block from Demi Albon (Craigeburn, Austrailua) and a steal from Llorente. However, the Greyhounds responded with a 7–0 run midway through the frame to extend their cushion and take a 35–20 lead into halftime.
- Franklin Pierce found its rhythm coming out of the break, matching Assumption with 14 third-quarter points. Albon and Murray each knocked down a three, while Mennillo continued to produce offensively inside and out. FPU forced several turnovers in the period, but Assumption maintained a steady double-digit margin heading to the fourth.
- On Senior Day, the Ravens continued to fight down the stretch. Murray, Llorente, and Jaylene Pires (Yarmouth Port, Mass.) contributed baskets in the final minutes, but Assumption's rebounding advantage and consistency in the paint helped secure the 62–46 final.
