Ravens Roll Past Saint Michael's, 3-0

COLCHESTER, Vt. (10/6/26) – The Franklin Pierce University volleyball team earned a 3-0 victory over Saint Michael's College on Tuesday night at Ross Sports Center, taking the three sets by scores of 25-17, 25-19 and 26-24.

HOW IT HAPPENED 

  • Franklin Pierce jumped out to an early lead in the opening set and never looked back. The Ravens used a strong offensive attack to build a 16-8 advantage before Saint Michael's attempted to close the gap. Franklin Pierce answered with a late run and closed out the first set, 25-17. Maddie Swanson led the Ravens with five kills in the opening frame. 
  • The Ravens carried the momentum into the second set, building an 8-3 lead before the Purple Knights battled back. Franklin Pierce continued to maintain control, using a balanced attack to pull away late and take the set, 25-19. Swanson added six kills in the frame, while Marija Milosevic recorded two service aces during the set. 
  • Saint Michael's put together its strongest challenge in the third set, taking an early 8-2 lead. Franklin Pierce steadily chipped away before eventually pulling even at 19-19. The teams traded points down the stretch, with the Ravens fighting off set point at 24-23 before closing the match with three straight points to earn the 26-24 victory. 

NEXT UP FOR THE RAVENS: The Ravens will play Southern New Hampshire University on Saturday, October 10th at 1:00 PM.
