RINDGE, N.H. (1/21/2026) - Junior forward
Anna Caumo (Brunico, Italy) of the Franklin Pierce women's ice hockey team will compete at the 2026 Milano-Cortina Olympic Games in Italy, having earned a spot on Itay's Olympic team as announced by the Italian National Olympic Committee on Tuesday
Caumo's selection marks her first appearance on Italy's Olympic roster and makes her the first Franklin Pierce women's ice hockey student-athlete to earn a spot on an Olympic team.
Italy will compete as the host nation when the Olympic Games take place from February 5–22, 2026, in Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo. The Italians are slotted into Group B, alongside France, Japan, Germany, and Sweden, and will open tournament play against France on February 5 at 8:40 a.m. EST.
Internationally, Caumo has been a consistent presence within Italy's national program. Most recently, she competed for Italy at the 2025 IIHF Women's World Championship in Dumfries, Great Britain. There, Caumo recorded three goals and one assist in five games, helping guide Italy to a Division I Group B championship and a promotion to Group A for the 2026 World Championship cycle.
At Franklin Pierce, Caumo has appeared in 65 career games across two seasons, totaling 15 goals and 22 assists for the Ravens. She elected to step away from collegiate competition during the 2025–26 season to focus on international play and Olympic preparation and is slated to return to Rindge next season.
Italy's women's ice hockey program is making its first Olympic appearance since 2006, when the country also competed as the host nation. The Italians will return to the world's biggest stage following their historic promotion back to Division I Group A, where the program will compete for the first time since 2019.
