HOW IT HAPPENED

  • The Ravens matched Southern New Hampshire shot for shot in the opening quarter, as the teams traded leads and ended the period tied at 12–12. Emily Mennillo (Orange, Conn.) scored six points in the frame, while Angelisse Melendez (North Providence, R.I.) knocked down a pair of three-pointers to keep Franklin Pierce level.

Armani Rivera (Pawtucket, R.I.) and Melendez each connected from beyond the arc as the Ravens cut the margin to as few as two points, but the Penmen answered with timely baskets to maintain a 50–39 advantage heading into the final period.
