RINDGE, N.H. (1/17/26) – The Franklin Pierce University women's basketball team battled early but was unable to keep pace after halftime, falling to Saint Anselm College, 63–49, in a Northeast 10 Conference matchup Saturday afternoon at The Fieldhouse.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Franklin Pierce came out with strong energy and led for much of the opening quarter. Baskets from Emily Mennillo (Orange, Conn.) and Laia Llorente (Madrid, Spain) helped the Ravens build a 12–6 advantage midway through the period before taking a 12–11 lead into the second quarter.
- Saint Anselm edged ahead late in the second quarter, using second-chance opportunities to grab a 24–23 lead at the break. The Hawks shot 46.2% in the period, while the Ravens were held to 29.4% shooting.
- The third quarter proved decisive, as Saint Anselm shot 69.2% from the floor and outscored Franklin Pierce 23–13 to open a double-digit lead. The Hawks connected on four three-pointers in the frame and forced several turnovers to extend the margin to 47–36 entering the final period.
- Franklin Pierce continued to compete in the fourth quarter, highlighted by a three-pointer from Natalie Beaudoin (Lewiston, Maine) and a layup from Armani Rivera (Pawtucket, R.I.), but Saint Anselm maintained control down the stretch to secure the 63–49 victory.
