NEWARK, Del. (9/19/2025) - The Franklin Pierce University women's volleyball team continued early-season play at the Wildcat Regional Invitational in Newark, Delaware.
In their first match of the day, the Ravens battled Wilmington but fell in straight sets (25–17, 25–14, 25–23).
Adrianna Reay (Bristol, Conn.) paced the offense with nine kills, while setter
Annaka Lindstrom (Dudley, Mass.) posted a double-double with 25 assists and 13 digs.
Martina Spackova (Braislava, Slovakia) and
Avery LeBlanc (Exeter, R.I.) chipped in six kills apiece, and
Julia Felgenhauer (Bolivar, Ohio) led the back row with six digs
Franklin Pierce returned to the court in the afternoon to take on Daemen, who used a balanced attack to sweep the Ravens 3–0 (25–23, 25–17, 25–15). Despite the loss, the Ravens fought hard in a competitive first set that featured five ties and four lead changes. Lindstrom led the offense with four kills on a .600 hitting percentage to go along with 16 assists, while LeBlanc added five kills and one ace.
Katholiki Koukia (Rhodes, Greece) and
Jayne Hiatt (Granby, Conn.) each tallied three and four kills, respectively, with Spackova contributing three blocks.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Set One
Wilmington jumped out to an early lead in the opening set and maintained control throughout, capitalizing on Franklin Pierce's six attack errors to take the frame 25–17.
Set Two
The Ravens tried to find their rhythm in the second set, as
Adrianna Reay,
Martina Spackova, and
Avery LeBlanc contributed kills to keep Franklin Pierce within striking distance early. Wilmington's attack, however, proved efficient, hitting .286 in the frame to pull away for a 25–14 win and a 2–0 match lead.
Set Three
Franklin Pierce delivered its best stretch of the morning in the third frame.
Annaka Lindstrom directed the offense with a balanced attack, finding Reay for several key kills. Hiatt and Koukia converted timely points in the middle of the set, while Spackova added a pair of blocks to keep the Ravens in it. The teams traded points late, but Wilmington closed out the set 25–23 to secure the sweep.

Set One
Franklin Pierce started strong and traded points with Daemen in a back-and-forth opening set that featured five ties and four lead changes. The Ravens had late opportunities but Daemen pulled away with a pair of kills from Keira Mullen to take the set 25–23.
Set Two
Daemen's offense found its rhythm, hitting .378 as Mullen and Gaylor combined for nine kills in the frame. Despite three kills from LeBlanc and two from Spackova, the Ravens fell 25–17.
Set Three
Franklin Pierce stayed close early thanks to a service ace from
Kori Garnhart (Colorado Springs, Colo.) and kills from Hiatt and Koukia, but a late service run by Mullen—including back-to-back aces—closed out the set 25–15 for the sweep.
BREAKING DOWN THE NUMBERS
