Ravens Tie the Golden Falcons in Home Opener

RINDGE, N.H. (9/14/2025) - The #18 Ravens took on the #11 Golden Falcons in their home opener, proving to be a tightly contested match. Felician University struck first, which was followed by a Ravens goal to tie the game going into half time. The second half of the match saw strong defense on both ends of the field, and limited offensive opportunities from the Golden Falcons who only had 2 shots following halftime. Franklin Pierce struck 9 times in the half, but weren't able to find the back of the net, leading to a 1-1 tie.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • In the 33rd minute of play, Keiji Sugiura combined with Bartu Yakkan for a give and go at the top of the 18 for Yakkan to finish on a volley, to put Felician up 1-0. 
  • The Ravens battled back in the 38th minute with a free kick opportunity. Joao Araujo sent the ball across the net at the top of the 18 to the head of Julen Martin, who was able to find the back of the net and tie the game at 1-1. 
  • The Ravens fought in the second half to complete the comeback, with 5 shots from Guillermo Rios, but could not find the back of the net. 
  • Strong defense from the Ravens all over the field in the second half only allowed 2 Felician shots in the second half, neither of which were on goal.
