HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • After a quiet first few minutes, the Ravens struck first with a goal from Erin McIlroy (Newfields, N.H.). Just over 20 seconds later, Hayley Hermsdorf (Center Moriches, N.Y.) breaks down the Golden Falcons defense and rips a shot into the net to make it 2-0.

  • Hermsdorf added another point to her name after she delivers a pass to Olivia Robb (East Longmeadow, Mass.) and scores making it 3-0. Robb, over a minute later, adds to the fun with a pass over to Riley Beem (Windham, Maine), as she hits her first goal of the game.

  • The Ravens go out to 5-0 lead in after McIlroy scores another goal after a pass from Hermsdorf with over 8 and a half minutes to go in the first quarter.

  • After 7 minutes with no scoring, Hermsdorf ends the dry spell with another goal after a pass from Beem. In the final seconds of the first quarter, Kathleen Lopez fires a goal to get the Golden Falcons on the board.

  • The second quarter got off to a hot start after Hermsdorf hit her third goal of the game just 17 seconds into the quarter. Two minutes later Robb extends the Ravens lead out to 7 with an unassisted goal.

  • The Golden Falcons etch closer with a combination of goals from Kayla Fox and Eva Moreland. Moreland's free position shot made it 8-3.

  • McIlroy hammers a shot after receiving a pass from Courtney Hannes (Tyngsborough, Mass.). Beem makes it 10-3 from a free position shot before the half ends.

  • The Ravens got on another 4-0 run to start the second half. Maura Cogavin (Franklin, Mass.) gets it started by a goal from a free position shot. That was followed by goals from Hannes, Beem, and McIlroy.

  • Kathleen Lopez and Racheal Rodriguez score before the third quarter ends to get back within 9 goals of the Ravens.

  • Despite late efforts from Fox, the Golden Falcons could not stop McIlroy as she scored twice again in the fourth quarter.
