VIERA, Fla. (3/16/25) – The Franklin Pierce softball team delivered a dominant performance and a thrilling comeback on Sunday, picking up two wins at the Space Coast Games. The Ravens opened the day with an 8-0 shutout victory over Post, powered by a strong outing from Kennedy Morris. In the nightcap, Franklin Pierce battled through nine innings against UT Dallas, ultimately walking off with an 8-7 victory thanks to a clutch performance from Danielle Belliveau. With the sweep, the Ravens improve to 8-6 on the season as they continue their Florida road trip.

Game 1:
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Franklin Pierce's offense wasted no time setting the tone, striking for three first-inning runs. Sophomore third baseman Raylee Gilbert (Waterville, Maine) opened the scoring with a sacrifice fly before senior first baseman Anna Erikson (Temecula, Calif.) and senior third baseman Lita Vorseth (Mesa, Ariz.) followed up with back-to-back RBI hits, giving the Ravens a commanding 3-0 lead. Senior outfielder Amy Jones (San Diego, Calif.) added to the advantage in the second inning with an RBI double, pushing the lead to 4-0. Though Post briefly held Franklin Pierce in check, the Ravens erupted again in the sixth, doubling their lead with four more runs to put the game out of reach.
- The game was briefly interrupted by a weather delay in the bottom of the sixth inning, but by then, the damage had already been done.
BREAKING DOWN THE NUMBERS
- Kennedy Morris (Stafford, Conn.) carried her momentum from yesterday's dominant relief performance straight into today's game, delivering another stellar outing for the Ravens. The sophomore went the full six innings, allowing just three hits while racking up four strikeouts, issuing only one walk and a single wild pitch to secure her fifth victory of the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Ravens struck first in the bottom of the first when Gilbert drove a two-run single to right-center, giving Franklin Pierce a 2-1 lead.
- A throwing error by UT Dallas in the second inning allowed Delaney Duford (Concord, N.H.) to score, extending the Ravens' lead to 3-1.
- UT Dallas responded with a three-run third inning to take a 4-3 lead and later added another run in the sixth to go up 5-3.
- Franklin Pierce answered back in the bottom of the sixth with a three-run outburst. A Zoey Galindo (Lakewood, Cailf.) RBI single brought the Ravens within one, and Charlit Hartenstein's (Masqpequa, N.Y.) clutch two-run single gave Franklin Pierce a 6-5 advantage.
- UT Dallas pushed back in the seventh, plating two runs to reclaim a 7-6 lead.
- Danielle Belliveau (Baldwinville, Mass.) came through in the clutch for the Ravens, tying the game in the bottom of the seventh with an RBI single.
- In extra innings, Belliveau delivered again, ripping a walk-off RBI single in the ninth to score Gilbert and complete the comeback victory.
