UNIONDALE, N.Y. (3/16/25) - Despite the early comeback, the Ravens were unable to hold off the Lions, who responded with a steady offensive effort. HOW IT HAPPENED

  • In the first inning, Sean Welsh led off with a double down the left-field line and proceeded to steal third. During Sean Serrano's at-bat, he delivered a single through the right side, bringing Welsh home to give the Ravens an early 1-0 lead.
  • Molloy responded in the bottom of the fourth when Nicholas Dagnello singled to shortstop, advancing Patrick Sanchez to third. A sacrifice fly from Jack Coogan allowed Sanchez to score, tying the game.
  • Franklin Pierce evened the score again in the top of the seventh. Anthony Marcano (Boston, Mass.) ripped a double down the left-field line, driving in both Kiobel Lugo (Boston, Mass.) and Joey Acker (Upton, Mass.) to make it 2-2.
  • However, the Lions answered immediately in the bottom half of the inning. A passed ball by Drew DeLucia (Medway, Mass.) advanced all Molloy baserunners, allowing Sanchez to cross the plate. Moments later, a single from James Sill brought Dagnello home, and Stephen Collicia followed with a double down the left-field line to score Joe Burriesci, extending Molloy's lead to 6-2.
  • Molloy added an insurance run in the bottom of the eighth when Burriesci lifted a sacrifice fly, plating Sanchez and securing a 7-2 advantage.
