GARDEN CITY, N.Y. (2/1/25) - The Franklin Pierce women's basketball team battled hard but fell to Adelphi, 71-48, on Saturday afternoon at the Center for Recreation and Sport. Adelphi's sharp shooting—particularly from Kaitlyn O'Connell—proved too much to overcome. O'Connell knocked down a conference-high nine three-pointers to pace the Panthers to victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Panthers jumped out to an early 12-5 lead with the Ravens getting on the board from Geanna Bryant (Boston, Mass.) with a three-pointer.
- Early in the second quarter, Kaitlyn O'Connell from Adelphi extended their lead with a three-pointer, making it 22-7.
- The Ravens closed the first half on a 9-2 run, fueled by multiple baskets from Colette Mulderig (Scranton, Pa.), narrowing the deficit to 31-20 at halftime.
- The Panthers opened the second half with a 5-0 run before Bryant responded with her second three-pointer of the game.
- Demi Albon (Craigieburn, Australia) connected on a three-pointer off a Paige Slaven (Long Beach Island, N.J.) assist, bringing the score to 32-50.
