HOW IT HAPPENED
- Southern Connecticut opened with steady offensive pressure, taking advantage of early rebounds and transition opportunities. Despite a few strong drives from the Ravens, the Owls led 19-14 after the first quarter.
- The Owls continued to control pace in the second, limiting Franklin Pierce to 8 points. SCSU's defensive pressure disrupted the Ravens' rhythm, entering halftime trailing 32-22.
- Out of the break, the Ravens found more offensive momentum with contributions from multiple players including Natalie Beaudoin. SCSU added 11 points in the third quarter, widening their advantage to 43-31.
- Franklin Pierce continued to battle in the fourth, getting to the free-throw line and finding scoring opportunities through the bench. However, a late scoring push from Southern Connecticut sealed the result, as the Owls finished the game with an 18-point fourth quarter to close out the game.
