RINDGE, N.H. (12/19/2025) - Women's basketball picked up their first win of the season on Friday afternoon, defeating Goldey-Beacom College, 73-55, at The Fieldhouse.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Franklin Pierce set the tone early with efficient shooting and strong defensive pressure to build a quick lead. With 6 three pointers in the opening quarter, the Ravens went into the break with a 29-18 advantage.
- The Ravens continued their offensive push in the second quarter, with 7 unanswered points to begin the frame. Holding Goldey-Beacom to only 13 points, Franklin Pierce extended their lead going into halftime, 46-31.
- Coming out of the break, Golden-Beacom applied more defensive pressure, holding the Ravens off from finding a point until the 4th minute of the quarter, but it was a three-pointer from Natalie Beaudoin that broke through. Despite the Lightning's push, Franklin Pierce maintained their lead going into the final quarter.
- Franklin Pierce kept their lead in the fourth, finding points in the paint and capitalizing on free-throw opportunities. The Ravens outscored Goldey-Beacom 18-13 to score the 73-55 victory.
BREAKING DOWN THE NUMBERS
- Angelisse Melendez led the Ravens with a team-high 24 points, connecting on 8-of-15 from the field, and going 8-for-14 on three-pointers.
- Emily Mennillo added 16 of her own points, also tallying 6 assists and 5 rebounds.
- The Ravens shot 25-of-54 (46.3%) from the field and 13-of-28 (46.4%) from three.
