HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Franklin Pierce found itself playing from behind early, as Molloy opened the afternoon on a 21–0 run and took a 27–4 lead after the first quarter. The Lions capitalized on turnovers and second-chance opportunities to control the pace of the opening 10 minutes.
  • The Ravens responded well in the second quarter, outscoring Molloy 16–13 behind timely perimeter shooting and improved defensive pressure. Angelisse Meléndez sparked the offense with a pair of threes, while Janaya Prince-Baquero added another from deep as FPU settled into a better offensive rhythm. A late 11–0 run cut the deficit to 20–40 heading into halftime.
  • Franklin Pierce continued to climb in the third quarter with Meléndez knocking down another three and Prince-Baquero adding a pair of layups to trim the margin to 14, but Molloy answered with timely buckets and free throws to maintain a double-digit cushion.
  • In the fourth, the Ravens put together their most efficient offensive quarter of the game—shooting 61.5% from the field—but the early deficit proved too large to erase. Molloy held steady down the stretch to secure the home victory.
BREAKING DOWN THE NUMBERS
  • Angelisse Meléndez paced the Ravens with a team-high 12 points, all coming from beyond the arc.
  • The Ravens hit 7 threes, including stretches of strong perimeter offense in the middle quarters.
  • FPU's bench contributed 26 points and Franklin Pierce forced 17 turnovers.
