Ravens Secure Impressive Road Win Over #15 Mercy, 2-0

DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. (10/29/25) – The Ravens faced a very big test away in New York to face off against #15 nationally ranked Mercy University. Two goals from Olivia Crespo (Ludlow, MA) and Samantha Breton (Chicopee, MA) lifted the Ravens past the Mavericks in a hugely important non-conference win.

Score: Franklin Pierce 2, Mercy 0
Records: Franklin Pierce 11-1-4 (5-0-1 NE10), Mercy 12-2-2 (4-0-2 ECC)
Location: Mercy Field, Dobbs Ferry, N.Y.
Date: Wednesday, October 29, 2025

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • The Mavericks did well to keep the Ravens silent for the opening minutes, but Franklin Pierce would ultimately breakthrough in the 22 minutes when a ball played through by Claudia Peirce (Carver, MA) would find the feet of a running Crespo who slotted the ball past the Mavrick keeper putting the Ravens up 1-0.
  • The Ravens would strike again this time through a corner dished in by Brigid Moore (West Springfield, MA) that deflected to Breton who volleyed the ball into the back of the net lifting the Ravens 2-0.
  • The second half was a battle of defenses with neither team allowing the other to break them down and score, meaning the 2 goals in the first half where all the Ravens needed to secure the win.

BREAKING DOWN THE NUMBERS

  • Franklin Pierce outshot Southern Connecticut 16–11, including a 10–6 edge in shots on goal.
  • Ryan Rosario (Holbrook, N.Y.) registered 6 saves on the day.
