HOW IT HAPPENED
- The first quarter would see the only two goals of the game. After the ball went out of bounds, Delaney Condon (Atkinson, N.H.) drove the ball towards the circle. On a bad deflect from an AIC defender, Aria Caputo (Gloucester, Mass.) was able to capitalize, easily finding the back of the cage.
- In the final seconds of the first quarter, Sydalia Savage (Skowhegan, Maine) was able to carry the ball all the way from midfield, guiding it through traffic for a shot that went right past the Yellow Jackets Goalkeeper.
- In the second quarter, the Ravens would see 5 penalty corners, unable to extend their lead further over AIC.
- In the third quarter, we would see the most shots from both teams. With green cards from AIC and Pierce, each team hoped to put one on the board while a player was down, but strong defenses on both ends of the field would halt each scoring opportunity.
- A little into the fourth quarter, 3 yellow jackets players would receive cards all the at the same time, with Mar Busqueta receiving a red card and being ejected from the game. Down by three for five minutes, AIC held strong, not allowing Pierce to take advantage of the 11 on 8.
- Zoe Noorlag (Amersfoort, Netherlands) would earn the shutout win for the Ravens, improving their NE10 conference record and coming up big in a win over the Yellow Jackets.
BY THE NUMBERS
