HOW IT HAPPENED
- Franklin Pierce opened the night with confidence, hitting .200 as a team in the first set while limiting Southern New Hampshire to just seven kills. Senior setter Annaka Lindstrom (Dudley, Mass.) led the offense, recording two early service aces and setting up Avery LeBlanc (Exeter, R.I.) for a series of powerful kills as the Ravens took the opener, 25–18.
- The Ravens kept the momentum rolling in set two, using sharp defense and consistent serving to build a steady lead. Katholiki Koukia (Rhodes, Greece) and Martina Spackova (Bratislava, Slovakia) combined for key blocks at the net, while Julia Felgenhauer (Bolivar, Ohio) anchored the back row with 12 digs as Franklin Pierce cruised to a 25–16 win and a 2–0 match lead.
- Southern New Hampshire responded in set three, taking advantage of a late Franklin Pierce rally that fell just short. Despite seven kills from LeBlanc and clutch setting from Lindstrom, the Penmen held off the Ravens in extra points, 26–24.
- In the fourth set, Franklin Pierce regained control behind balanced offensive execution. LeBlanc continued to dominate from the outside, while Lindstrom notched her fourth service ace of the night. The Ravens closed out the match, 25–21, to secure their second NE10 victory of the season.
