RINDGE, N.H (1/14/25) – The Franklin Pierce men's basketball team battled against Bentley University on Tuesday night at The Fieldhouse, ultimately falling 82-69 in an NE10 matchup.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • Donte Pope (Middletown, Conn.) opened the game with a drive to the basket for a 2-0 lead, but Bentley responded with a 6-0 run before Saeer Miller (Philadelphia, Pa.) hit a 3-pointer to cut the deficit to 6-5.
  • Trevon Thomas (Oak Park, Ill.) sparked the Ravens' offense, hitting three consecutive 3-pointers to close the gap to 14-15, though Bentley maintained their lead. Caleb Gatewood (Tampa, Fla.) briefly put the Ravens ahead, but Bentley answered with a 3-pointer.
  • Thomas continued his hot shooting, adding another 3-pointer to keep the score close at 23-21. Miller hit his second 3-pointer, and Demariontay Hall (Atlanta, Ga.) tied the game at 27 from the free-throw line with 2:10 remaining in the half.
  • Thomas tied the game again at 30 with another 3-pointer, but Bentley closed the half with two baskets to lead 34-30 at the break.
  • Bentley opened the second half with an 11-0 run, but the Ravens responded as Kareem Porter (Boston, Mass.) tipped in an offensive rebound to cut the deficit to 55-51.
  • Despite a strong effort, including two clutch 3-pointers by Prendergast at 7:12 (63-56) and 5:25 (70-61), the Ravens struggled to close the gap.
  • Bentley maintained their momentum and secured an 82-69 victory.
