RINDGE, N.H. (09/10/24) – The Franklin Pierce University Women's tennis team could not take down the Penmen of Southern New Hampshire University on Tuesday afternoon, falling 5-2.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Penmen were no match for the Ravens in doubles action against SNHU, who would come away with a quick 3-0 lead in the match after defeating the Ravens 6-1 in the doubles #1 position, 6-3 in doubles #2 position, and 6-3 in doubles #3 position.
- Franklin Pierce would battle hard in singles as Polina Georgieva (Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria) and Victoria Azcona (Madrid, Spain) would each pick up a win at #1 and #2 singles, respectively.
- Zoe Asterio-Correa would go the distance with SNHU's Lois Tsui, though, would fall in the third set tiebreaker and drop the match 6-5, 5-7, 2-6 in the third singles spot. Gabriela Yamate would pick up a win in the second set of the four singles position but would eventually fall 4-6, 7-5, 2-6.
NEXT FOR THE RAVENS: The Ravens travel to the ITA East Regional Tournament this weekend in Flushing, NY.
