The game started with fireworks as three goals were scored in the first five minutes of the first period. The Ravens were the first team to strike. Freshman center Brynna Levinson (Glencoe, IL) tallied her second goal of the season off a feed from junior defenseman Maggie Korneta (Naperville, IL) from the right circle to put the Ravens up 1-0. The Bears came back quickly, scoring two quick goals from Olivia Fantino and Jess Ciarrocchi to put Brown up 2-1. Then later in the first period, Cameron Sikich gave the Bears a comfortable 3-1 entering the intermission.

The second period was not kind to the Ravens either as they would commit four penalties in the second twenty minutes. One of those penalties led to a power play goal off the stick of Margot Norehad to put the Bears ahead 4-1. The Ravens struck back twelve minutes into the period as freshman defenseman Lilah Bauer (Monroe, WI) scored her first collegiate goal on the power play off a feed from junior left winger McKenzie Rich (Rochester, MN) to bring the Ravens within two. The Bears once again would strike back, however, as Cameron Sikich notched her second goal of the game to put the Bears up 5-2 entering the final twenty minutes.

The third period was the Ravens' best period on the night. They committed two penalties and later killed them efficiently. Sophomore defenseman Ashley Wright (Milford, CT) and junior goaltender Jill Hertl (Highland Park, IL) led the way with crucial blocked shots and saves to keep the Bears at bay. However, the Bears would tally another goal in the final two minutes of the game courtesy of Elodie Roy winning a puck battle in front of the net. The goal helped the Bears secure the 6-2 win.
