HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • It didn't take long for the Ravens to respond, finding the equalizer at 44:36, with just 24 seconds remaining in the first half. Graduate midfielder Javier Torres (Alicante, Spain) slipped a pass to junior forward Guillermo Avendano (Luanco Spain) who tucked it home with a beautiful backheel finish to tie the score 1-1 heading into the halftime break.

  • Guillermo Avendano wasn't done yet. At 73:14 he added his 2nd goal of the night, thanks to a beautiful pass by sophomore midfielder Tiago Barriguinha (Alverca, Portugal) as Avendano slipped past a defender and buried a shot into the left corner, giving the Ravens the 2-1 lead.

  • The Ravens continued to pour it on in the 2nd half, scoring just 22 seconds later. Graduate midfielder Joao Araujo (Madeira, Portugal) fed a beautiful pass to junior midfielder Antonio Lima (Lisbon, Portugal) who broke free on the right wing and slotted it in the left corner to put the Ravens up 3-1.

  • The Ravens put the icing on the cake at 79:37. Joao Araujo added his 2nd assist of the night, lofting a beautiful free kick into the box for Jesse Oostendorp, who redeemed himself as he tapped it for the goal, securing the 4-1 victory for the Ravens.
