Ravens back in action Monday at AIC

RINDGE, N.H. (April 7, 2012) – The Franklin Pierce University women's tennis team was defeated, 9-0, by Adelphi in Northeast-10 Conference play at Franklin Pierce on Saturday afternoon.
With the loss, Franklin Pierce falls to 2-9 (2-8 Northeast-10), while Adelphi improves to 16-3 (11-0 Northeast-10).
Adelphi surrendered just six games over the course of the day, though it would be senior Drew Alexander (Long Beach, N.Y.) who picked up half of those for the Ravens. Alexander tallied three game wins in her 6-1, 6-2 loss to junior Samra Redzematovic at third singles.
All six Adelphi players collected wins in both doubles and singles play, led by junior Maria Toft, who was bettered in just two games over the course of wins at both first doubles and first singles. In doubles play, she teamed with freshman Joanna Haich to sweep to an 8-0 win before breezing to a 6-1, 6-1 win in singles play.
The Ravens return to the court on Monday, April 9, when they travel to American International for a Northeast-10 Conference match at 2:30 p.m.
