MANCHESTER, N.H. (April 14, 2010) -- The Franklin Pierce
University women's lacrosse team snapped a three-game losing streak
on Wednesday with an all-important 16-13 road win at Saint Anselm
on in Manchester. The Ravens improved to 4-7 overall and 2-5 in the
Northeast-10, while the Hawks fell to 4-5 and 2-4 in league play.
Jordan Baillargeon

six-point afternoon as she scored four goals and assisted on two
others. Lauren Stille (North Quincy, Mass.)
notched a four-point afternoon with two goals and two assists, and
sister Mary Kate Stille (North Quincy, Mass.),

lead Saint Anselm on the afternoon.
Saint Anselm opened the game with a pair of scores and held a
3-1 lead after a Shawna Walsh goal with 22:31 left in the first
half.
However, Franklin Pierce scored
four of the game's next five goals to take a 5-4 lead with 7:16
left until halftime. Kimberly Jaksina (Townsend,
Mass.) got the rally started with a goal and Baillargeon
followed with a tally of her own -- her second of the game. Weber
capped the surge with back-to-back goals.

Saint Anselm with a score at the 5:03 mark of the half, but the
Ravens responded yet again and scored the final two markers of the
half to hold a 7-5 lead at halftime. Ashley Moirano (Vero
Beach, Fla.) and Brianna Nash (Oceanside,

halftime.

in the first 12 minutes. Stille's second goal of the half put the
Ravens up by a count of 11-8. However, Saint Anselm scored the next
two goals -- both coming from Smith -- to pull within 11-10 with
11:31 to go.
As they had done all night, the Ravens had an answer and got
back-to-back goals from Baillargeon and Mary Kate Stille to go back
up by three goals at 13-10.
Saint Anselm followed with two
goals to get back within a score, but the Ravens rallied with
two-straight tallies to go back up by three at 15-12 and put the
game out of reach to earn the win. Ashley Lamagdeleine
(Westfield, Mass.) and Mariama Bonetti (New York,
N.Y.) each scored during the late run.
Franklin Pierce returns to action Friday night when the Ravens
travel to face Bentley at 7 p.m. in Waltham, Mass.
