Charest added an assist in the period to make it a three-point night, while Chlanda added his third assist of the evening.

The Pioneers would make it 10-0 on a pair of goals by freshman forward Jon Gaffney in the third period before Franklin Pierce got on the scoreboard for the first time of the season. At the 15:44 mark of the frame, Federico deflected home a centering feed from junior forward Anthony Chighisola (Whitman, Mass.) to score his first goal of the season and create the 10-1 final. Junior forward Pat Shortt (New Haven, Conn.) picked up an assist on the play as well.
