N.H. (September 25, 2008) - Bentley College posted an 8-1
victory over Franklin Pierce University in Northeast-10 Conference
men's tennis action this afternoon.
Bentley took control by taking all
three doubles matches, the top two decided by just one break,
before notching wins in five of six singles matches. Freshman
Jigar Gada (Mumbai, India/Bradenton Prep Academy
(Fla.)) led the double-winners for the Falcons, posting a
6-0, 6-2 victory at No. 1 singles after combining with classmate
Alec Spycher (Sarasota, Fla./Saint Stephen's
Episcopal) for an 8-6 decision at first doubles. Spycher
also posted a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 2 singles.
Senior Roland Oganyan
(Watertown, Mass./Watertown) earned a point for Franklin
Pierce with a 4-6, 6-1, 10-3 decision at No. 3 singles.
Franklin Pierce (0-2, 0-2 NE-10)
returns to action on Sunday, October 5, when it visits Saint
Michael's College at 3 p.m. Bentley (2-2, 1-0 NE-10) visits Le
Moyne College on Sunday at 11 a.m.
