MANCHESTER, N.H. (Sept. 24, 2005)
– The Franklin Pierce volleyball team swept all three games
to defeat Saint Anselm College, 3-0 (30-19, 30-28, 30-22) in
Northeast-10 Conference action this afternoon at Stoutenburgh
Gym.
Franklin Pierce freshman Stephanie Guirand (Cambridge, Mass./Cambridge
Rindge & Latin) led the Ravens with 12 kills in 15
attempts (.800 pct). Classmate Nicole Buchholz (Ashburn, Va./Stone
Bridge) contributed with 10 kills and one block. Freshman
setter Karissa Hookstadt
(Camarillo, Calif./Camarillo) was also solid for the Ravens
registering 33 assists, three kills, and two aces in the match.
Franklin Pierce (4-5, 3-1 NE-10) returns to action Tuesday when it
travels to Assumption College for a match starting at 7 p.m. Saint
Anselm College (2-8, 2-4 NE-10) will host Saint Michael's
College on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
