RINDGE, N.H. (Nov. 3, 2001) - The
Franklin Pierce University volleyball team closed out the 2001
season with a 3-0 loss to Saint Rose in Northeast-10 Conference
action this afternoon.
Saint Rose was led by sophomore Jessica Euell, who registered a
team high 16 kills, ten digs, and three blocks. Junior setter
Heather Baney dished 16 assists and also recorded ten digs in the
win. Sophomore Victoria Fede posted eight kills, eight digs, and
served four aces, while classmate Kristen Gaudreau notched nine
kills, three blocks, and served five aces.
The Ravens were led by Mandy Johnson (Orange, Mass./Maher
Reg.) who totaled ten kills, four digs, and four blocks.
Setter Bethany Findley (Clinton,
Conn./Morgan School) added 14 assists, and Heidi Jensen (S. Glens Falls, N.Y./S. Glens
Falls) chipped in ten digs.
Senior Johanna Schubert (Brooklyn,
N.Y./St. Ann's School) posted eight digs in the last game of
her career at Franklin Pierce College.
The Ravens close out the 2001 season with their record of 9-14
overall, 4-10 in the Northeast-10. Saint Rose (15-12, 4-9 NE-10)
will finish the regular season this evening, when they visit UMass
Lowell for an NE-10 matchup at 5 p.m.
