Tom Cote enters his second seasonas an assistant Coach with the Franklin Pierce University baseballprogram in 2012. He will also serve as Assistant Coach of theRavens junior varsity baseball team.
This is Cote's first collegiatecoaching stop after being a part of two NCAA Regional-winning teams(2007, 2008) on the field under Head Coach Jayson King. Cote earnedhis first coaching experience in the summer of 2010 with the KeeneSwamp Bats of the New England Collegiate Baseball League.
After spending his freshman seasonat the University of Massachusetts, Cote was a standout on themound for three years in Rindge (2007-09). He capped off his careerwith a stellar senior campaign in 2009, in which he recieved anAll-America Second Team selection from Daktronics, in addition toAll-East Region selections from the ABCA, Daktronics, theNCBWA.
Cote is one of only five pitchersin school history to win 20 games in his career, and also ranks inthe top 10 in program history in career earned-run average (2.42),strikeouts (189) and innings pitched (189.1). His senior seasonearned-run average of 1.94 was one of nine seasons in schoolhistory under 2.00, and his nine wins tied him for fourth-most in aseason in program annals.
