Sean Kotary concluded his secondseason as Assistant Coach of the Franklin Pierce University icehockey program in 2010-11.

A ninth-round draft pick (266overall) of the Colorado Avalanche in the 2000 National HockeyLeague Entry Draft, Kotary played three seasons of professionalhockey with five different teams. Most recently, he played fivegames for the Oklahoma City Blazers of the CHL in 2007-08. Prior tothat, he played the full 2006-07 campaign in the UHL with the FlintGenerals after splitting the 2005-06 UHL season between the PortHuron Flags, Elmira Jackals and Quad City Mallards. All told,Kotary played in 152 professional hockey games and tallied fourgoals, 27 assists, 31 points and 204 penalty minutes.

Prior to his professional career,Kotary played his last two collegiate seasons for the StateUniversity of New York at Oswego, where he earned his bachelor'sdegree. Over two seasons with the Lakers, he tallied 13 goals and21 assists for 34 points, to go with 97 penalty minutes. BeforeOswego, he spent time playing junior hockey with the Des MoinesBuccaneers of the USHL, as well as an additional collegiate seasonwith Bowling Green State.

Before college, Kotary spent a yearat Northwood Prep School in Lake Placid, N.Y., where he set aschool single-season scoring record with 110 points on 54 goals and56 assists. Prior to that, he played high school hockey in NewHartford, N.Y., capturing a state championship in 1997. While inhigh school, Kotary set New York state records for points in aseason (109), assists in a season (57), points in a single game(11) and assists in a single game (8).

Originally from New Hartford, N.Y.,Kotary currently resides in Milford, N.H. He is pursuing hismaster's degree in business administration at Franklin Pierce.
